What is religion?
Religion is defined as "the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal god or gods", according to Oxford dictionary. But religion is more than just this definition and varies person to person. Since the beginning of time religion has given answers to many questions surrounding life such as “what happens when we die” or “how was the world created”. It has also given meaning and purpose to life, along with strength and hope in the face of adversity and struggle. Believers of said religions have many religious practices such as prayer, meditation and fasting which aims to give them spiritual peace and connect them with their faith.
